British retailer My-wardrobe.com proves that focusing on a niche of accessible luxury online is marketable. The site just raised a total of $9 million in Series A funding led by Baldterton Capital.
The website was actually launched in April of 2006 and managed to become one of the UK’s most talked about successful online shopping destinations. It has become one of UK’s fastest growing ecommerce businesses with 100% in revenue growth in recent years.
The site offers ‘accessible luxury’ womenswear and menswear ranges from over 180 of the world’s leading designer brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Anya Hindmarch, Mulberry, D&G, 3.1 Phillip Lim and By Malene Birger.
My-wardrobe.com attracts over 800,000 visitors to the site every month. Balderton’s previous investments include Bebo, Betfair and Lovefilm.
