LONDON (Mosnar Communications) Virgin America has just announced big plans for their fleet in 2013! Starting in 2013 Virgin America has plans to order 40 Airbus A320 jetliners. At this time the airline is not disclosing value amounts for the deal. Industry insiders are stressing that the deal is worth up to $3.26 billion dollars.

This deal will also come with an option to purchase additionally 20 aircraft for delivery in the year 2017. Projections for Virgin America include growth from 28 aircraft to 90 aircraft units by 2016.

The distinguished Airbus is a unit of the European Aeronautic Defence & Space C.
