Sardinia, the Mediterranean island along the western coast of Italy, dominates the Top 10. Indeed, a total of five hotels on the Italian island landed inside the Top 10. Most expensive on the survey is the Le Dune hotel, located on the Sardinian southwestern coast in Santa Margherita di Pula. Summer travelers staying there can anticipate a nightly cost of 2400 euros for the least expensive double room.

The most expensive hotel in the UK is the Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, located a few miles east of Oxford. That takeaway is the finding of a recent survey from the French travel website Allovoyages.fr.
