The Oprah Winfrey Show still tops everyone’s media wish list. For 2009, it still will be the media wish list of choice and for many good reasons. Landing a guest appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in most cases really changes lives. Brands are born, talents are discovered, causes are championed, etc.
What I have been telling people for years, Oprah nor her producers care about who YOU know! Make news, create a real media buzz and the Queen of Media will call YOU. Well, actually her producers will contact you on her behalf. It’s much easier to create a publicity campaign that gets news than to have someone contact Oprah for you. Trust me Oprah’s team is hunting for that top news story to compete. BTW, Oprah’s producers don’t really like to be pitched for those folks not in the business. However, they love to review news stories! Hint, hint??
One teen recently made her dreams come true by attracting Oprah’s producers to a YouTube performance.
Oprah says there’s nothing more fun than helping to make someone’s dreams come true…especially when that someone is a gifted young person who really wants it and really deserves it.

Oprah’s producers were among the 13 million people who logged on to watch this 16-year-old sensation sing songs made famous by artists like Celine Dion and Beyoncé. Then, in May 2008, Charice flew 15 hours to showcase her talent on The Oprah Show. She stole the show with a soul-stirring rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”
