Russell Simmons wants to do some good by hosting a charity party! Sure, he wants to serve his 150 guests some Champagne. The party that is taking place will be in the East Hampton is scheduled for next week with major sponsorship from Moët & Chandon winery and they have no permit to serve liquor at the venue!
The art gallery that’s hosting the July 18 premiere hasn’t been able to get a temporary permit to serve alcohol. Wendy Wachtel, owner of the Walk Tall Gallery, said yesterday that the party is in jeopardy because her landlord has not signed paperwork required by the State Liquor Authority. See full report
