Now, this is a LOL title and I put the breaks on about using it at first, considering the fact that this blog covers luxury. However, I felt we all could use a little humor especially now. Most luxury brands are probably feeling like things actually do stink a little right now.
Actually the title for the blog entry is inspired by Rockin Robin, by Bobby Day (1958?). What I remember about the song is that as a child “us” little black girls made it a cheer, we all wanted to be cheerleaders. This was doing the Hola Hoop days; every successful black female will tell you that they remember the Hola Hoop. Just ask Queen of Media Oprah Winfrey, First Lady Michelle Obama, and yes even former United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice most likely received a Hola Hoop as a child. However, Condi may opt to neither deny nor confirm it. I had to get my final Bush administration joke in, no harm intended.
The Tweet, Tweet Yo Booty Hole Stinks was of course added to Rockin Robin. Today it would have been a hit Hip Hop rap song used in some popular commercial for a Fortune brand, LoL. The person who started it would have received Wiki pages and likely a Grammy. Because I mean everybody was singing it!
Are you really making a stink on Twitter? Maybe a better way of asking, are you really making some real time buzz on Twitter? It is only news as it happens because Twitter only matters in the moment. We don’t care about what you did earlier; the objective is to create a stink in real time.
