The Russian media is running wild with this one. Maybe a slight PR misunderstanding but seriously a use of wrong words and certainly bad timing! This one will go down in the history books of what NOT to do when trying to mend ties in politics. Different from love, which most consider things to be all fair in love and war, right?
So, Hillary gave Sergei Lavrov a mock “reset” button, a sort of symbol to express hopes to mend ties with Moscow. However, the gift was viewed as a jester not well received because as the Russian media stresses it Americans chose, “peregruzka”, meant “overloaded” or “overcharged”, rather than “reset”.
Poor Hillary pushed the wrong PR button just when everyone was watching.
