Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige is being sued for $2 million dollars by a company claiming she stole some the music used on her album, which included tunes used in an iPod commercial.
The company, The Drama Family Entertainment filed a lawsuit on Tuesday in federal court in Manhattan, New York.
In the lawsuit the company claims they suffered from copyright infringement which Blige’s album “Growing Pains” contains the song “Work That.” The company cites that the song “Work That” was created by a producer that worked for the company at the time.
Blige is featured in an iPod commercial with the song; however, for now Apple Inc. isn’t named in the lawsuit.
