Everybody is using Twitter but in the U.S. most are not passing with good Twitter marks! Stunning the average Twitter grade in 51 states is below 70! So what this means is “What Are You Doing?” literally!
For those using Twitter as a branding tool, which is why most likely the average Twitter users is Tweeting, something is very wrong with your technique. As a luxury PR publicist I am on Twitter to brand my firm and also my clients. After all is there any other place on earth to engage with so many people to increase your brand awareness as well as Twitter does? I have yet to find one! So I will continue to keep Tweeting.
BTW, I have a Twitter score of 98.8 (A+) and what I have observed is that Twitter users are doing more marketing over engaging. The thing to remember is that Twitter is a social media environment and you have to know how to target your audience as well as how to communicate with them.
