There are media rumors and wars being started all over the blog about Oprah Winfrey not inviting Gov. Sarah Palin on her show because Oprah is scared. Call Oprah many things but scared of Sarah Palin should not even be considered.
My fear is that this publicity buzz will now create the kind of racial tension that America can not afford and certainly does not need. Oprah went under attack from white women because she selected Sen. Barack Obama over Sen. Hillary Clinton. Now, everyone is dragging Oprah into a catfight with Sarah Palin.
According to a statement released by Oprah Winfrey on the Drudge Report, this is what Oprah had to say about having Sarah Palin on her show:
OPRAH’S STATEMENT: “The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”
So now you have it! Oprah is not scared of Palin, Oprah does not dislike Palin!
