Looks like Jenny Craig was a fan of The Cosby Show or at least a fan of Clair Huxtable. The company has confirmed that Phylicia Rashad will be their next spokeswoman.
According to People, “Jenny Craig confirms a new relationship with Phylicia Rashad,” says a spokesperson for the company. “We look forward to sharing the details at a press conference in late January.”
Rashad, who is best know for her role as the loveable, wise Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show, joins the ranks of stars such as Queen Latifah, Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli who have all been spokeswomen for Jenny Craig. Earlier this week, Rashad, 60, was nominated for a Golden Globe for outstanding lead actress in miniseries for her role in Raisin in the Sun.
