Well, looks like Grey’s Anatomy character Izzie and Katherine Heigl who plays Izzie on TV will get their wish! Despite ALL the rumors that the creator of the show Shonda Rhimes was planning to KILL off the character played by Heigl with a life-threatening brain tumor.
Stephen McPherson confirmed today during the Television Critics Association’s annual fall preview “She’s absolutely staying with the show.”
In June, Heigl shocked fans by withdrawing her name from Emmy consideration, stressing “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”
McPherson reveals Heigl is returning and getting a juicy storyline! Stating “There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that.”
