The company posted a 6.9% net-profit rise last year. Alexander McQueen fashion house will continue despite the designer’s death last week. The fashion show in Paris will also go on as planned. For the Paris show the collection that Mr. McQueen prepared before his death will be presented.
PPR also owns companies Gucci and German sportswear label Puma, net profits totaled €984.6 million ($1.34 billion) in the 12 months to Dec. 31, an increase from €921.1 million in 2008. However, sales did drop 4% to €16.52 billion from €17.21 billion.
