Thanks to The New Yorker both Presidential candidates are really agreeing.

According to New York (AFP) Barack Obama’s campaign disapproved of the Monday satirical cartoon on the cover of The New Yorker magazine that shows the Democratic presidential candidate wearing Islamic dress while his wife holds a Kalashnikov.

Bill Burton the spokesman for Obama’s camp had this to say “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create,”

“But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”
The Republican rival and presidential candidate John McCain and his camp quickly agreed. His spokesman Tucker Bounds had this to say “We completely agree with the Obama campaign that it is tasteless and offensive.”
I wonder was this really the media reaction that The New Yorker was expecting.
