SALMA Hayek is one of the most beautiful women in the world, is married to a French billionaire and refuses to apologise for her glamorous or lavish lifestyle, according to excerpts from an interview with ‘Allure’ magazine.
Although she does have one minor complaint – her breasts looked much better 10 years ago.
“My boobs,” the 44 year old laughed when asked if any parts of her body looked better a decade ago.
“They’re not bad, by the way. I’m not complaining about them.”
Speaking about her jet-setting lifestyle by the side of Francois-Henri Pinault – CEO of the Paris-based luxury conglomerate that owns Gucci, Yves St. Laurent and Bottega Veneta – Hayek said she loves being rich.
“I never understood the point of being privileged if you don’t get to have the privileges,” Hayek told Allure.
“Like, people who won’t take their kids to an expensive restaurant, or won’t travel with them, or make them pay for everything at a really young age.
“I think it’s important that kids have responsibilities and understand the value of things, but I think it’s great I get to travel the world with my daughter.”
Hayek said her four-year-old daughter Valentina gets $50,000 a month, via a trust fund set up by her father.
The revelation comes as Pinault’s ex, supermodel Linda Evangelista, is engaged in a fight for $46,000 a month in child support for her son with the billionaire, four-year-old Augustin James, who was conceived during a brief split from Hayek.
But despite her wealth, Hayek said she believes in slowing down the aging process naturally, rather than going under the knife.
“It’s like the uniform of a generation,” Hayek said about the fascination with plastic surgery.
“And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful.
“I’ve never had anything done on my face.
“I’ve never had dermabrasion or peels or injections of any kind, nothing.”
The Desperado star is also embracing her skin and her sexuality as she approaches 50.
“As a woman, you should be more at ease with your sexuality when you are in your 40s,” she said.
“You are more self-assured about that part. And that’s the way it should be.
“If you are a girl who cannot walk in heels, it doesn’t matter how beautiful you are. If you look like a chicken that’s been spiked in the feet, it’s not going to be sexy.”\
