The GALA SPA AWARDS was established in 1996 and is one of the most important international beauty and spa awards. Only first-class care products and hotels or locations that meet the holistic requirements of the GALA SPA AWARDS are honored. The jury comprises the following members: medical aesthetics physician Dr. Barbara Sturm, dermatology professor Prof. Volker Steinkraus, stress management coach Susanne Preiss, television presenter Judith Rakers, dermatologist and cosmetic science professor Dr.Martina Kerscher, CEO Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa Frank Marrenbach, stylist and publisher Armin Morbach, GALA editor-in-chiefAnne Meyer-Minnemann, head of the GALA beauty department Frie Kicherer, and GALA-Spa expert Ariane Häusler.

GALA SPA AWARDS 2016
Dreamlike spa locations and luxury hotels, innovative beauty products, and extraordinary treatments are being sought for the GALA SPA AWARDS, which will be awarded at Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in spring 2016. Companies from 35 countries can submit their unique care concepts and feel-good locations up to August 14, 2015. Companies from the Maledives will be able to take part in the competition for the first time this year.

The GALA SPA AWARDS will be presented in Baden-Baden on April 2, 2016 at a glamorous ceremony attended by well-known guests. Special highlights of the evening will include the announcement of the winners of the “Beauty Idol” award and the “Special Prize”. The “Beauty Idol” award honors a celebrity who stands out due to his or her positive attitude to life and lifestyle in accordance with the spa concept. “Beauty Idol” award winners from recent years include Chantelle Winnie, Irina Shayk, Toni Garrn, Julie Delpy, and Karolina Kurkova, among others. The most recent “Special Prize” was awarded to the multi award-winning manager and founder of the Zeitz Foundation for the worldwide protection of the ecosphere, Jochen Zeitz.
