As released in the AP and reported on Forbes.com, things are more than chic for the French, luxury retailer PPR SA said Wednesday that its sales rose 4.5 percent in the second quarter thanks to strong demand for Gucci frocks and handbags and Puma sportswear.

PPR SA high-end brands also include Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga, who reported sales of $7.48 billion for the period, up from $7 billion a year earlier.
The company is based in Paris and controlled by the family of its billionaire Chief Executive Francois-Henri Pinault, revealing the strong second quarter performance confirmed its targets for the full year.
