Sandra Bullock has always enjoyed being on Hollywood’s A-List. However, two hit movies during an economic recession prove Bullock is a sustainable celebrity brand. No matter the economy climate Bullock is a surefire win.

According to PEOPLE, Bullock’s acclaimed film The Blind Side became the first movie in history to pass the $200 million mark with only one top-billed female star, Variety reported Tuesday. In its seventh week, the film earned $208.5 million in box office sales.

None of Bullock’s past films in which she was the only star actress hit $200 million in sales, Variety reported. It’s not even a record Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep or Angelina Jolie can lay claim to.

Bullock was the big winner at the recent People’s Choice Awards 2010. She won the favorite movie actress award, while her blockbuster, “The Proposal,” won favorite movie comedy; her male counterpart was Johnny Depp, who also earned the favorite movie actor of the decade.

Who can dispute that Bullock is Hollywood’s top female celebrity!
