The Story

History 

Back in the day, there was a real Stanley Korshak who founded his namesake luxury goods store in Chicago in 1909. The Chicago store closed in the early Eighties, and Dallas oil heiress Caroline Rose Hunt bought the rights to the name. She opened Stanley Korshak as a designer clothing store in the courtyard of shops at the Crescent Hotel in Dallas in 1986. Hunt hired Crawford Brock to manage it in 1987, and he has shepherded it since.

Brock  bought the store in 2002 and today Stanley Korshak is finely attuned to serving multiple generations. That’s partly because the three daughters of Crawford Brock and his wife, Janet, have been learning the business from the mailroom on up. Leigh Brock Friend serves as PR Manager; Laura Brock Chandler is a Merchandising and Financial Analyst; and Helen Brock is an Accessories Buyer for The Shak.

5. Galleria Dallas

In 2014, Forty Five Ten entered into a joint partnership with Headington Companies in the development of a flagship location. A new 37,000-foot store is poised to open in late 2016, across from The Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas. Another store in Houston’s River Oaks District is also slated for Fall 2016.

7. Neiman Marcus Flagship
